Challenging strip manufacturers to ‘put the company to the test’ was the brief BBI Enzymes worked to in developing it’s new audio visual animation, the showcase for demonstrating what makes BBI’s Glucose Oxidase the best in the world for blood glucose monitoring.
BBI Enzymes has used animation to zoom into a test strip used by people with diabetes to measure their blood glucose sugar levels. Hidden within the test strip, the use of animation has made it possible to show customers the effectiveness of their product in a way a brochure could not.
Glucose Oxidase Product Manager, Ken Murray, explained how animation allowed BBI to meet its objectives “to demonstrate why our product is superior to others, we had to show the enzyme working. The movie allows us to show what happens when the blood hits the strip and how using a proven, consistent enzyme helps reduce variability in strip manufacture so each strip gives an accurate, rapid reading”.
While a technically important product, the use of animation has allowed BBI to create excitement around what could be viewed as a dry topic. A clever storyboard has allowed BBI to convey its message in a clear manner to both a technical and a commercial audience, and using its own and relevant third party websites, reach and deliver its message to a global audience.
This isn’t the first time BBI Group has used 3D computer animation to achieve marketing success. In 2009, sister company BBInternational launched their Good Gold Bad Gold animation to illustrate the benefits of using good quality gold. The first of its kind in the space BBI operates in, the animation was nominated for a number of prestigious industry awards.
Available in both English and Chinese, BBI Enzymes’ Glucose Oxidase movie can be seen at www.bbienzymes.com/movie or on the BBI Enzymes YouTube channel.
